Meet the Author/Founder

Costumes, parties, and candy... oh my! Somewhere between the chaos of Halloween, I just wanted to give kids (and parents) something that felt a little more magical and a lot less stressful.

Hi, I'm Erika, full-time HR Manager by day, and the person behind Boo Buddy by night (and weekends, and long car rides, and every spare minute in between).

Boo Buddy started in August 2025 as a dream to spread kindness somehow. It began as a bedtime story I wrote for my own daughters, and somewhere along the way, that story turned into so much more. I didn't set out to build a company. I just wanted to create a tradition that was easy, one more thing to love, not one more thing on the to-do list.

We are the light. We are the magic. We make the glow.

That's what Boo Buddy is all about, little moments of kindness that shine a little brighter, together.

Here's the magic: every time a child does something kind, a small act, no one asking, no reward expected, a Kindness Spark is born. Maybe it's feeding the dog without being asked, sharing a toy, or giving someone a hug when they're sad. Boo notices. And with enough sparks, Boo begins to glow. (With a little light to wake the sparks, of course)

We create the magic. You just get to be there for it, the wide eyes when the Arrival Box shows up, the giggles over the glow, the quiet moment reading together before bed. That's the whole point.

But the glow doesn't stop there.

Through our Boo Cares Initiative, every glow wristband we send out becomes a tangible piece of that same light, passed on to a child somewhere else, as a reminder that they are seen, they are loved, and they are never alone. So when your child's kindness makes Boo glow, that glow becomes something real. It travels. It reaches another child's wrist, another child's night, another moment of "you make the world glow brighter."

That's the whole idea: kindness isn't just a feeling, it's light you can actually pass on. 

That's the magic Boo Buddy makes. And you, and your child, are the ones who make it real.

And this is just the beginning. Boo Buddy is part of something bigger, a whole world we call Boo World, with more characters, more stories, and more magic still waiting to be unlocked. This is only chapter one.
